Title: Lilac Girls
Author: Martha Hall Kelly

The book spans the time from 1939 when Hitler invades Poland  through the late 1950's and tells the story of three women whose lives become intertwined during the course of the war and afterwards. Caroline lives in New York and works at the French consulate. Karen is a young teenager from Poland sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp and Hesta is a doctor working with the Nazis at Ravensbruck. The book was based on the lives of actual people though the names were changed. I thought the book was very well written and highly recommend it.

The Marriage Ring

Title: The Marriage Ring
Author: Cathy Maxwell

Historical romance - Cathy Maxwell is a great author. This is her third book I've read and I find I can follow the characters very easily. This book is about a young Scottish woman named Grace and a gentleman named Richard. He instantly comes to her rescue twice in one night the first time he meets her. Meanwhile he was upon meeting her supposed to give her a piece of his mind because of her accusations to his dad and uncle. They wind up going to Scotland to hear the truth from her father who was sentenced for ten years for "supposedly" stealing money and blamed by Richard's dad and uncle. Great adventure of a book!
