This book follows a group of American women that travel to Russia to teach business skills to Russian women. It takes place in 1993, shortly after the fall of Communism and the Soviet Union. The main character is a woman who is the daughter of Jewish Holocaust survivors. We follow her journey to bring education to these Russian women who are still under the watchful eyes of the government. It is scary to see the oppression and corruption that still is life-threatening. It is a very good read that will really make you appreciate the freedoms we may sometimes take for granted here in America.

Joan Rivers was a trailblazer for women both in the entertainment world and in the business world. A book that highlighted her many accomplishments, rather than resorting to one-liners, jokes and "bad" language would have been more fitting.
