This book was so much fun to read. Matthew's journey was serious, yet delightful to experience. I have now, through this book, discovered the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead thanks to the author, Henri Rosenblum! Can't wait for the next book (more Grateful Dead?)!

The author, Regina Calcaterra, was raised on Long Island with four siblings by the system and an abusive, cruel mother. The story is a a story of survival by five children under "beyond belief" circumstances by supporting and loving each other. It shows the strength of the human spirit. After I finished this book I can't stop thinking about it. Have plenty of tissues handy! It is a difficult journey.

Title: Every 15 Minutes

What I liked about this book is that it kept you guessing to the very end. The chief of psychiatry at the hospital takes on a teenage boy who is troubled as a new patient. The psychiatrist's life unravels after a teenage girl is found murdered and his patient is the prime suspect. He has faith in his patient Max and does not believe he committed the crime but that there is a sociopath on the loose. He starts doing investigating on his own. The surprise ending is great.

In this novel, the author draws the characters of Jane Austen's book Pride and Prejudice into a tale of murder and emotional mayhem. It is set in England in 1803. The night before a yearly ball is set to take place at Pemberley estate, someone is found dead in the forest. Elizabeth and Darcy must cancel the festivities as Elizabeth's sister Lydia's husband Wickham becomes the prime suspect of the murder. Although a bit slow moving at times, overall I found the book to be interesting with quite the surprise ending.

After living in England for twenty years the author returns to the U.S. to live in New Hampshire. He decides to reacquaint himself with his native country by walking the Appalachian Trail which stretches from Georgia to Maine. He hooks up with an old friend from Iowa and the adventure starts. Although the book was a bit tedious at times with statistics, his sense of humor keeps the story moving along and entertaining.
