Bel Canto. Author: Ann Patchett

Although it took me awhile to get into this book, I ended up enjoying it as it progressed. The author took a bad situation that she turned into a story of compassion, love and humanity between a group of strangers. It also had a surprise ending which was nice.

Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time. Author: Valerie Bertinelli

An eye opening read. Very interesting for someone who grew up watching her on TV. To be taken inside the private life of her and her husband Eddie Van Halen made for a very interesting read. I enjoyed the book a lot.

A Turn in the Road. Author: Debbie Macomber

This is another book in the "Blossom Street" series which I really enjoy. This particular one was slow moving and centered on just one of the "regular" characters and a trip she takes with her daughter and ex-mother-in-law across the U.S. I found the book disappointing but stuck with it and I did like the ending.
