First in a trilogy -- the book begins with an eerie scene -- a plane full of people are dead within six minutes of landing. Dr. Eph Goodweather from the CDC has to figure out why. The answer is horrific -- and sets off a chain of events masterminded by an ancient being. Excellent suspense and horror novel.
