Title: The Secret Wisdom of the Earth

After a family tragedy, teenager Kevin and his grief stricken mother return to her family home in the mining hills of Kentucky to spend the summer with the mother's father. Kevin's bond with his strong, kind and intelligent grandfather helps him to come to grips with the good and evil in people.
The story started strong and the character development was good, however, the story slowed toward the end to the point that I lost interest in the outcome and the future of the characters.
