Title: Summer by the Sea
Author: Susan Wiggs
Book is a romance, but not one of Wiggs' best. Central character, a middle-class Italian-American chef, reunites with her childhood playmate, the uber-rich scion of a very wealthy family. The plot is predictable and has been done before -- poor girl, rich guy, class differences, etc. Best parts of the book revolve around a mystery concerning the girl's father and the suicide of the rich guy's mother.
