This is the life story of Lyssa Chapman, daughter of the star of the TV reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter. Lyssa had an extremely dysfunctional childhood. Her parents divorced when she was young and are both addicts. She was constantly tossed back and forth between the two. Her family let her down consistently. She was abused sexually and her parents didn't believe her. She became a mom at 13 and also became an addict. Getting food for her daughter and herself was a constant challenge and she was shameless at times. She eventually went to live with her father as his show began and eventually overcame her drug and alcohol problem. She is sober and a business owner and a wonderful mother of two. If you are not a fan of the show, you may bypass this book. I was interested because I was a fan. I can honestly say I will never watch the show again after reading how "Dog" treated his children. His wife Beth doesn't seem much better. Good for Lyssa for turning her life around!
