Title: Winter Solstice
Author: Rosamunde Pilcher
This author writes a beautiful story where all the characters, though near or far, come together with one common bond, love. Love of their friends, love of the beautiful Scotland country, love for one another deeply. I enjoy the way the author discusses the characters and the landscape with detail that does not bore you or go overboard. Even the dog in the story has history and becomes such a lovable character. In summary, especially for the holidays it goes . . . everybody needs somebody sometime! Sometimes more than usual and it's in the sometimes that the best friendships and love affairs are forged.
